Li eases past Croatian teenager

Fourth seed Li Na wasted little time in the taxing Melbourne Park heat on Monday as she booked a second-round berth. Li crushed Croatian junior Ana Konjuh 6-0 6-2, reeling off 10 straight winning games to close out the victory in just over an hour. Li, who made last year's final, now plays Swiss teenager Belinda Bencic in the second round. Bencic beat Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm 6-4 4-6 6-2 in her first-round match. Konjuh and Bencic shared the four junior grand slam singles titles between them last year, with the former successful at Melbourne Park.
