McCullum eyeing T20 series win

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum is hopeful his side can seal their Twenty20 series against West Indies after an 81-run win on Saturday. The Black Caps cruised to victory in Auckland as they restricted West Indies to 108-8 in the first game of the two-match series after setting the tourists a target of 190 for victory. McCullum top scored for New Zealand with 60 not out as the hosts reached 189-5, with his brother Nathan (4-24) doing the damage with the ball to ensure triumph. And the New Zealand skipper has his eyes on a series win following the disappointment of splitting the one-day international series 2-2. "(I am) happy with the performance. It was a pretty complete performance right from the get-go," McCullum said. "We don't have the depth of other teams, but it is good to see performances from the group. "We look to wrap it up in Wellington. We missed an opportunity in the ODI series, so we definitely want to close this out. "We have some big tournaments coming up over the next six months, so we need to produce and provide the performances." Meanwhile, despite the defeat, West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo was quick to praise his bowlers, and is confident they can level the series in the second and final match. "Tino (Best, who took 3-40) and the bowlers bowled their heart out," Bravo commented. "So not much we could do there. But we kept losing wickets so there will always be scoreboard pressure. "We look forward to that (the second game). When our backs are to the wall, we are at the most dangerous."
