San Antonio ease to fourth straight win

The San Antonio Spurs won their fourth consecutive NBA game with a comfortable 104-86 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite missing Manu Ginobili (hamstring) and Tiago Splitter (shoulder), Spurs were in control of the game and once they got in front early in the third quarter, the Timberwolves had no answers. Spurs' French guard Tony Parker grabbed a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists while Kawhi Leonard contributed 17 points. The Timberwolves were best served by Nikola Pekovic (22 points) while Kevin Love (14) was well held by the Spurs defence. The Memphis Grizzlies topped 100 points for the fifth consecutive time as they clinched a 108-101 win over the Atlanta Hawks. It was a quality performance by the home side as they kept their opponents at bay for the majority of the contest. All five of the Grizzlies' starters hit double-figure points with Mike Conley scoring 21 points and giving off 13 assists. Paul Millsap (21) and Jeff Teague (20) were the best players for the Hawks. The Sacramento Kings delighted their home fans with a 124-80 smashing of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 44-point margin is the biggest win so far in the NBA this season. Cavs guard Kyrie Irving had a rare bad night with only seven points - shooting three-from-14 in the field. Isaiah Thomas downed 26 points for the Kings while recent acquisition Rudy Gay contributed 20 points.
