Barrichello ´praying´ for Schumacher

Rubens Barrichello is praying former Ferrari team-mate Michael Schumacher survives the skiing accident, which has left him in a coma. Schumacher, a seven-time Formula One world champion, has been in a medically induced coma for over a week after hitting his head on a rock, while skiing in the French Alps. Barrichello's relationship with Schumacher during their partnership at Ferrari between 2000 and 2005 was testy. The Brazilian, who left F1 in 2011, said Schumacher's accident was being felt and he hopes the 45-year-old German pulls through. "It's a hard time. It's a moment where everyone is still looking for more information. We can just keep praying that everything will be OK," Barrichello said. "We know that he's a human being and that there are differences sometimes on the slopes and there are rough moments on all of those routes. "But I want to make it clear that this is a guy, socially speaking, that I would always want to be around." Barrichello said he hoped to invite Schumacher to join him in IndyCar to help raise the profile of the series. "We wanted to make sure he gets involved. You don't want this to happen to any teammate no matter how close you are or not," Barrichello said. "We want people to be well because although we fight on the track, we have a life off of it as well."
