Kings claim Tigers, Taipans scalps in NBL
The Sydney Kings claimed their second win of round 14 in the NBL with a 97-84 victory over Melbourne on Sunday.
Scott Morrison scored a game-high 25 points for the Tigers, but the Kings got a much more even contribution.
James Harvey (21 points) and Tom Garlepp (16) led the way as the Kings secured their third straight win.
It was the Kings' second win in three days after they beat the Cairns Taipans 92-88 on Friday night.
Import Sam Young was the star of the show on that occasion, landing 31 points in an impressive performance.
Also on Sunday, Cairns were on the right end of a thriller this time as they edged the Wollongong Hawks 79-77.
Elsewhere, league leaders Perth continued their impressive form, disposing of the New Zealand Breakers 97-72 on the back of Shawn Redhage's 24 points.
The Adelaide 36ers also claimed a win in round 14, overcoming the Townsville Crocs 92-79 at home.
